The head of the Kamisato Clan in Genshin Impact, Kamisato Ayato, is one of the most renowned names in Inazuma. He leads the Kamisato family once his family passes away, but only from the background. Meanwhile, the public face of the clan is none other than her sister, Ayaka.

Genshin Impact: Best Jean Weapons

The Kamisato siblings both wield Swords in battle. However, while Ayaka owns a Cryo Vision, Ayato has the softer version of Hydro. They’re also both DPS, which means people don’t typically use them together. However, considering Ayato is a great Hydro enabler, he can definitely work well with his sister. Whether as a main DPS or sub-DPS, here’s the best Ayato build in Genshin Impact.

Ayato Build – Best Weapon

As a DPS, Swords with offensive stats will work nicely for Ayato build in Genshin Impact.

  1. Haran Geppaku Futsu: The best option for Ayato DPS. Its passive boosts Normal Attack, which is his main source of damage.
  2. Primordial Jade Cutter: Offers massive Crit Rate and additional HP. Ayato mildly scales with HP, so the addition is beneficial both for his HP-scaling and ATK-scaling hits.
  3. Mistsplitter Reforged: A weapon that enhances Elemental DMG. Great for characters that deal stable Elemental hits like Ayato.
  4. Summit Shaper: ATK stat-stick that forces players to play with a dedicated shielder.
  5. The Black Sword: Battle Pass weapon with Crit Rate sub-stat.
  6. Kagotsurube Isshin: A free weapon from Kazuha’s quest. Falls short when compared to other high-refined Swords since it can’t be raised above R1.
  7. Blackcliff Longsword: Grant ATK bonus after killing an enemy; brilliant at full stacks, but mediocre at zero stacks.
  8. Lion’s Roar: Great in Electro-Charged team comp.
  9. Amenoma Kageuchi: Offers Energy regeneration for a better Burst uptime.
  10. Skyward Blade: Another weapon that enhances Ayato’s Energy Recharge. Unnecessary if players can naturally regain his ultimate.

Ayato Build – Best Artifact

There are surprisingly plenty of artifact options for Ayato build in Genshin Impact.

  1. 4-Heart of Depth: Increases Normal Attack DMG and Hydro DMG bonus.
  2. 4-Nymph’s Dream: Increases ATK and Hydro DMG bonus, but has a tougher condition to fulfill.
  3. 4-Gladiator’s Finale: Boosts both ATK and Normal Attack DMG.
  4. 2-Hydro DMG +15% + 2-ATK +18%: Mix-set for players who can’t get a four-piece set. Players can also use two 2-Hydro DMG +15% or two 2-ATK +17%.
  5. 4-Blizzard Strayer: Amazing option in permafreeze team comp.
  6. 4-Echoes of an Offering: Its performance fluctuates based on its proccing, but if it procs on the proper average value, Echoes of an Offering is the best artifact option for Ayato in Genshin Impact. Nevertheless, this uncertainty makes Echoes an unpopular option in the community.

Ayato Talent Priority In Genshin Impact

Ayato talent priority in Genshin Impact is Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst. DO NOT upgrade Ayato’s Normal Attack as his Hydro hits (from Elemental Skill) uses the multiplier from his Skill, making Normal Attack only useful to increase his Physical DMG.

  • Normal Attack: 1
  • Elemental Skill: 10
  • Elemental Burst: 10

About the author

In love with RPGs like Souls and Elder Scrolls games. I also enjoy RTS like Age of Empires and the ancient Command and Conquer games. Despite all that, I still enjoy light games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. In conclusion, I like to give every single game a fair chance as long as it looks like it was made with passion.
