Genshin Impact: Gorou Best Weapons

Build Guide Best Weapons
Team Compositions Constellation Guide

Gorou’s entire role in Genshin Impact is to provide DEF buff and Geo DMG boost. However, unlike some characters whose buff depends on their stat, Gorou’s DEF boost depends solely on his Elemental Skill level. Because of this, players don’t have to invest much in Gorou, both in terms of overall stat and weapon.

Genshin Impact: Arataki Itto Team Compositions Guide

Since there’s no weapon that’s perfect for the Watatsumi General, Gorou weapon in Genshin Impact is basically a list of bows with an Energy Recharge sub-stat.

1/5 Favonius Warbow

Base ATK 454
Sub-Stat 61.3% Energy Recharge
R5 Passive Crit hits have a 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 6s.

Favonius Warbow is an A tier weapon for Gorou in Genshin Impact. It grants a massive Energy Recharge along with a passive that enhances the entire team’s Energy, although it demands Crit Rate stat to activate.

2/5 Sacrificial Bow

Base ATK 565
Sub-Stat 30.6% Energy Recharge
R5 Passive After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 16s.

Sacrificial Bow is not as good as Favonius Warbow, especially since Gorou already has 100% uptime. Nevertheless, it’s decent for Energy as casting Skill twice means doubling the Elemental Particle production as well. Unlike Favonius Warbow, Gorou doesn’t need Critical Rate with this A tier bow, but players will have to spend an extra second on the field to activate its passive.

3/5 Elegy for the End

Base ATK 608
Sub-Stat 55.1% Energy Recharge
Passive Increases Elemental Mastery by 60. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” effect for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” increases Elemental Mastery by 100 and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.

Elegy for the End is a little situational as its passive only increases the teammate’s Elemental Mastery and ATK. Fortunately, ATK is beneficial even for units like Genshin Impact Arataki Itto and Noelle, so this Gorou weapon ranks in the A tier.

4/5 Fading Twilight

Base ATK 565
Sub-Stat 30.6% Energy Recharge
R5 Passive Has three states, Evengleam, Afterglow, and Dawnblaze, which increase DMG dealt by 12%/20%/28% respectively. When attacks hit opponents, this weapon will switch to the next state. This weapon can change states once every 7s. The character equipping this weapon can still trigger the state switch while not on the field.

Fading Twilight is an event-exclusive bow that ranks in the B tier for Gorou weapons. Since his damage is not worth pursuing, this equipment is only useful for its Energy Recharge passive.

5/5 End of the Line

Base ATK 510
Sub-Stat 45.9% Energy Recharge
R5 Passive Triggers the Flowrider effect after using an Elemental Skill, dealing 160% ATK as AoE DMG upon hitting an opponent with an attack. Flowrider will be removed after 15s or after causing 3 instances of AoE DMG. Only 1 instance of AoE DMG can be caused every 2s in this way. Flowrider can be triggered once every 12s.

End of the Line is not a common weapon to have since it’s not as beneficial as The Catch, but it’s still a decent F2P option for characters that need Energy Recharge. For Gorou weapon in Genshin Impact, End of the Line ranks in the B tier.

In love with RPGs like Souls and Elder Scrolls games. I also enjoy RTS like Age of Empires and the ancient Command and Conquer games. Despite all that, I still enjoy light games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. In conclusion, I like to give every single game a fair chance as long as it looks like it was made with passion.
