Weapons always play a big part in a Genshin Impact character’s performance, especially if it’s specifically designed for that character. For example, Staff of Homa is easily Hu Tao’s best weapon in Genshin Impact.

Staff of Homa is considered one of the best Polearms in the game thanks to its passive and sub-stat that fits almost every damage dealer. There’s also a bow version of Staff of Homa, Aqua Simulacra. Aqua Simulacra is Yelan best weapon in Genshin Impact, among some others.

1/14 Aqua Simulacra

yelan-using-aqua-simulacra-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 542
Sub-Stat 88.2% Crit DMG
Passive HP is increased by 16%. When there are opponents nearby, the DMG dealt by the wielder of this weapon is increased by 20%. This will take effect whether the character is on-field or not.

The S-tier best-in-slot weapon for Yelan in Genshin Impact is Aqua Simulacra. Since she doesn’t need ATK, the bow’s low primary stat is not an issue for her. In exchange for the poor base ATK, Aqua Simulacra is equipped with a massive 88.2% Crit DMG. On top of that, this bow also provides an HP and DMG boost.

2/14 Favonius Warbow

yelan-using-favonius-warbow-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 454
Sub-Stat 61.3% Energy Recharge
R5 Passive Crit hits have a 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 6s.

Favonius Warbow is an S-tier weapon for Yelan. This equipment is the best option for F2P players, as one of them is rewarded from an early Archon Quest. Favonius Warbow helps Yelan in maintaining her Burst while also increasing the team’s Energy regeneration.

3/14 Hunter’s Path

yelan-using-hunter-path-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 542
Sub-Stat 44.1% Crit Rate
Passive Gain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus. Obtain the Tireless Hunt effect after hitting an opponent with a Charged Attack. This effect increases Charged Attack DMG by 160% of Elemental Mastery. This effect will be removed after 12 Charged Attacks or 10s. Only 1 instance of Tireless Hunt can be gained every 12s.

Hunter’s Path is an A-tier weapon for Yelan thanks to its high Crit Rate sub-stat and a decent 12% Elemental DMG boost. The rest of the passive is not viable for Yelan, though.

4/14 Polar Star

yelan-using-polar-star-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 608
Sub-Stat 33.1% Crit Rate
Passive Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG increased by 12%. After a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hits an opponent, 1 stack of Ashen Nightstar will be gained for 12s. When 1/2/3/4 stacks of Ashen Nightstar are present, ATK is increased by 10/20/30/48%. The stack of Ashen Nightstar created by the Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst will be counted independently of the others.

The reason why Polar Star is below Hunter’s Path in Genshin Impact‘s Yelan weapon ranking is because it offers far less Crit Rate, placing it at only A-tier. Nevertheless, this bow is decent for Yelan thanks to its passive that enhances Skill and Burst DMG.

5/14 Thundering Pulse

yelan-using-thundering-pulse-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 608
Sub-Stat 66.2% Crit DMG
Passive Increases ATK by 20% and grants the might of the Thunder Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Thunder Emblem increases Normal Attack DMG by 12/24/40%. The character will obtain 1 stack of Thunder Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Skill (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack’s duration is calculated independently.

Unlike Polar Star that’s still somewhat useful, Thundering Pulse’s passive is completely useless for Yelan, which means this bow is only viable as a Crit DMG stat stick, making it an A-tier weapon for Yelan.

6/14 Skyward Harp

yelan-using-skyward-harp-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 674
Sub-Stat 22.1% Crit Rate
Passive Increases Crit DMG by 20%. Hits have a 60% chance to inflict a small AoE attack, dealing 125% Physical ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 4s.

Both Skyward Harp and Thundering Pulse have the same Crit Value, 66.2. Unlike the latter’s passive, Skyward Harp is still useful, although not significant enough to place it in a tier higher than A-.

7/14 Elegy For The End

yelan-using-viridescent-hunt-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 608
Sub-Stat 55.1% Energy Recharge
Passive Increases Elemental Mastery by 60. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” effect for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” increases Elemental Mastery by 100 and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.

Elegy for the End is not the best weapon for Yelan in terms of damage, but it’s nevertheless great for buffing the team, so it’s safe to say that it’s an A-tier weapon for Yelan.

8/14 Mouun’s Moon

yelan-using-mouun-moon-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 565
Sub-Stat 27.6% ATK
R5 Passive For every point of the entire party’s combined maximum Energy capacity, the Elemental Burst DMG of the character equipping this weapon is increased by 0.24%. A maximum of 80% increased Elemental Burst DMG can be achieved this way.

Mouun’s Moon is quite situational because of its passive. The more Energy a team requires, the better the bow would be. Because of this, Mouun’s Moon for Yelan in Genshin Impact can either rank in the A-tier or simply B-tier if the party is not Energy-demanding.

9/14 Sacrificial Bow

yelan-using-sacrificial-bow-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 565
Sub-Stat 30.6% Energy Recharge
R5 Passive After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 16s.

Sacrificial Bow is best wielded by Yelan if it’s on higher refinement as it’d better align with her rotation in Genshin Impact. This bow ranks in the B-tier, thanks to its Energy Recharge sub-stat and a passive that helps in producing more Energy.

10/14 Viridescent Hunt

yelan-using-the-viridescent-hunt-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 510
Sub-Stat 27.6% Crit Rate
R5 Passive Upon hit, Normal and Aimed Shot Attacks have a 50% chance to generate a Cyclone, which will continuously attract surrounding opponents, dealing 40% of ATK as DMG to these opponents every 0.5s for 4s. This effect can only occur once every 14.

Similar to some 5-star options, the B-tier Viridescent Hunt is also a mere stat-stick for Yelan. The passive is not so bad if players are utilizing Yelan’s Breakthrough state, though.

11/14 Fading Twilight

yelan-using-fading-twilight-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 565
Sub-Stat 30.6% Energy Recharge
R5 Passive Has three states, Evengleam, Afterglow, and Dawnblaze, which increase DMG dealt by 12%/20%/28% respectively. When attacks hit opponents, this weapon will switch to the next state. This weapon can change states once every 7s. The character equipping this weapon can still trigger the state switch while not on the field.

Fading Twilight is a free bow that has a decent passive for Yelan. However, due to how unstable the buff is, Fading Twilight merely ranks in the B-tier.

12/14 The Stringless

yelan-using-the-stringless-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 510
Sub-Stat 165 Elemental Mastery
R5 Passive Increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 48%.

Although the passive is perfect, The Stringless’s sub-stat is too niche to be perfect for Yelan, which means it has to settle with the B-tier.

13/14 Recurve Bow

yelan-using-recurve-bow-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 354
Sub-Stat 46.9% HP
R5 Passive Defeating an opponent restores 16% HP.

Recurve Bow is a 3-star weapon that fits Yelan because of its HP sub-stat. Although not the best, this bow ranks in the B-tier and is a great option for beginner players.

14/14 Slingshot

yelan-using-slingshot-in-genshin-impact

Base ATK 354
Sub-Stat 31.2% Crit Rate
R5 Passive If a Normal or Charged Attack hits a target within 0.3s of being fired, increases DMG by 60%. Otherwise, decreases DMG by 10%.

Similar to Recurve Bow, Slingshot is also a 3-star weapon, but this time, this B-tier equipment has a rather large Crit Rate sub-stat instead of HP.

In love with RPGs like Souls and Elder Scrolls games. I also enjoy RTS like Age of Empires and the ancient Command and Conquer games. Despite all that, I still enjoy light games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. In conclusion, I like to give every single game a fair chance as long as it looks like it was made with passion.
