As a healer in Genshin Impact, Sayu has two ways to heal. How players build Sayu determines how effective her healing is. The first method involves maxing out her Elemental Mastery and then spinning around with her Elemental Skill to Swirl other Elements. This approach requires her to stay on the field while dishing out some DMG, but it’s not the most effective way to heal.

Sayu Build – Best Weapon

To complete Sayu build in Genshin Impact, finding the best Claymore is important since it can greatly affect her healing and supportive capabilities.

Katsuragikiri Nagamasa: It’s the best Claymore for Sayu since it ensures she never runs out of energy, allowing her to keep casting her Burst.
Skyward Pride: Since Sayu relies on her Burst to heal, Claymores with high Energy Recharge in their Sub-stat are a great choice for her.
Wolf’s Gravestone: WGS grants Sayu a huge amount of ATK% to enhance her healing amount, along with the ability to buff her team.
Favonius Greatsword: Favonius weapons are always great on support units in Genshin Impact since they grant the ability to help the team regenerate their Bursts.
Sacrificial Greatsword: Can be better than Favonius if the DPS is an Anemo character as it allows Sayu to produce more Anemo Particles.
Forest Regalia: At C6, Elemental Mastery will be a valid build for Sayu. But even before C6, players can still use Forest Regalia for its Energy Recharge Sub-stat.
Rainslasher: Rainslasher is only viable on Sayu if she’s C6. It’s a good Claymore if players want to spin around with Sayu, though.
Lithic Blade: Since Sayu isn’t from Liyue, she can only get up to three stacks of Lithic Blade.
Royal Greatsword: Royal has ATK% as a Sub-stat, but there are much better F2P options for Sayu in Genshin Impact.
Prototype Archaic: Only use Prototype if there are no better options, and definitely don’t forge it for Sayu.

Sayu Build – Best Artifact

The kind of artifacts in every Sayu build plays a significant job in defining her role in Genshin Impact. Depending on the artifacts, Sayu can be a buffer, debuffer, or plain healer.

4-Viridescent Venerer: As an Anemo support unit, VV is the best artifact for Sayu in Genshin Impact. In addition to her healing, Viridescent Venerer grants Sayu the ability to shred enemies’ resistance.
4-Noblesse Oblige: Just like every support in Genshin Impact, Sayu can definitely rock 4-Noblesse and further help her team deal more DMG.
4-Maiden Beloved: If players are planning to maximize Sayu’s healing above any other priority, then Maiden Beloved is the way to go.
2-Maiden Beloved + 2-Ocean-Hued Clam: Having a 30% Healing Bonus is slightly less effective than building Sayu with 4-Maiden Beloved in Genshin Impact, but it’s still a good choice to increase Sayu’s healing.
2-Emblem of Severed Fate + 2-Healing Bonus +15%: Since Sayu depends on her Elemental Burst to heal and keep applying Anemo, having 2-Emblem of Severed Fate adds 20% Energy Recharge to her stats, which helps Sayu cast her Elemental Burst more frequently.

Sayu’s healing is split into two methods; on-field healer where she needs to trigger Swirl, or off-field healer who uses her Burst to heal.

On-field Swirl Healer: Players must maximize the potential of the Swirl reaction by building Sayu with 4-VV or enhancing her EM by using 2 of these sets: Wanderer’s Troupe, Gilded Dreams, and Desert Pavilion Chronicle.
Off-field Burst Healer: Make Energy Recharge the main focus for this Sayu build in Genshin Impact as it will significantly increase the amount of Elemental Bursts she can cast during combat.

Sayu Talent Priority In Genshin Impact

Sayu talent priority in Genshin Impact is Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill. If players simply seek healing, then the Skill level can be ignored along with Normal Attack level.
