As one of the starter characters in Genshin Impact, Kaeya is usually considered a weak DPS. One of the main reasons for that is how hard it is to get his Constellations; it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. However, Kaeya is actually a decent damage dealer. His best role is a Burst DPS, but players can also use him as a main DPS. For either role, here’s the best Kaeya build in Genshin Impact.

Primordial Jade Cutter: Primordial Jade Cutter is the best weapon for DPS build Kaeya in Genshin Impact. It grants him a whopping 44% Crit Rate with a minor ATK% buff from its passive. Note that the Crit Rate sub-stat is unsuitable with Blizzard Strater.
Mistsplitter Reforged: Mistsplitter helps Kaeya scale better with ATK% while enhancing his Crit DMG. This Sword is better with Blizzard Strayer.
Light of Foliar Incision: Just like Primordial Jade Cutter, Light of Foliar Incision also has a low Base ATK but makes it up with the 88% Crit DMG Sub-stat. Additionally, this Sword is best used for Melt Kaeya builds in Genshin impact.
Haran Geppaku Futsu: Haran Geppaku Futsu enjoys a standard Base ATK for a 5-star Sword with a great Crit Rate amount. Great choice if Kaeya is playing as the main DPS.
Freedom-Sworn: It’s another good 5-star choice for a Melt Kaeya build in Genshin Impact. Freedom-Sworn will also buff Kaeya and his party by increasing their Elemental Mastery and slightly enhancing their DMG.
Skyward Blade: The standard good for every DPS Sword, Skyward Blade is a decent choice if Kaeya is depending on his Elemental Burst to deal DMG, especially if matched with Emblem of Severed Fate.
Summit Shaper: This weapon can take Kaeya’s ATK to the next level. Players must make sure Kaeya is always shielded during combat in order for Summit Shaper’s passive to work. It also doesn’t work with an off-field DPS as its stack only increases if the wielder is on-field.
Aquila Favonia: Aquila Favonia is a great weapon for Kaeya Physical builds in Genshin Impact.
Lion’s Roar: Since Lion’s Roar notably raises the wielder’s DMG against Pyro and Electro-affected enemies, it makes a good synergy with Melt build Kaeya in Genshin Impact.
Amenoma Kageuchi: Amenoma ensures Kaeya can keep casting his Elemental Burst with ease. It’s a good weapon if players only want to use Kaeya’s Bursts.
Alley Flash: The insanely high Base ATK for a 4-star weapon can help Kaeya with his DMG. Additionally, the Sub-stat isn’t that bad, especially in Melt Kaeya teams.
The Black Sword: Only go for the Battle Pass Sword if the previous weapons weren’t available. The Black Sword is a decent option because of its Crit Rate Sub-stat.
Harbinger of Dawn: 46% Crit DMG, 28% Crit Rate, and an ok Base ATK are not that bad for a 3-star weapon. However, there’s a population of better weapons, and keeping Kaeya above 90% HP is necessary to maintain the Crit Rate buff.
Favonius Sword: Favonius is not a DMG-dealing sword; it’s a supportive weapon that can help the entire team. Only use it if Kaeya was operating as a battery.

Kaeya Build – Best Artifact

To build Kaeya in Genshin Impact, players must find the right set of artifacts since each Kaeya role needs its own set.

4-Blizzard Strayer: Blizzard Strayer is the best set for a Freeze DPS Kaeya build in Genshin Impact. To showcase how crazy this build is, Kaeya starts with a 5% Crit Rate, then a 40% Crit Rate from Blizzard, 15% from Cryo resonance, and 15% from Kaeya’s C1 (only for Normal and Charged Attack). Kaeya can easily reach a 75% Crit Rate without any help from Sub-stats, Headpiece, or a weapon.
4-Emblem of Severed Fate: Emblem is a good choice when players are only counting on Kaeya’s Elemental Burst to deal DMG.
4-Gladiator’s Finale: Gladiator is a good choice to enhance Kaeya while operating as a Physical Main DPS.
4-Noblesse Oblige: To build Kaeya as a buffer support, having 4-Noblesse Oblige is a perfect choice.

Kaeya talent priority in Genshin Impact is generally Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill. However, if players use him as a main DPS, they should prioritize Normal Attack over Elemental Skill.
