Starter units on Genshin Impact is often overlooked as they're considered weak. However, Kaeya is one of thos exceptions. If players choose to give the Cavalry Captain a chance, he can prove himself to be a worthy sub-DPS that can offer reliable Cryo DMG. This will become even more apparent once players reach that dreamy C6.

Building Difficulty

Kaeya is easy to build and play in Genshin Impact. Whether he’s operating as a Physical DPS or a Support unit, his build and gameplay is straight forward.

Flexibility: ★★★☆☆ (Average)

Team Composition Flexibility

It’s hard to fit Kaeya in team comps since his DMG and utility is underwhelming compared to other Cryo and Physical DMG units. His best role is to support Electro Physical units like Razor since he’ll stay close to enemies and give some usefulness to Kaeya’s Burst. Other than that it’s hard for Kaeya out there in the Meta lands.

Duo to his rusty mechanics, there are tons of better Cryo units to use in Abyss, Kaeya is at best Average in these dark corners.
