Sucrose

Anemo Catalyst

Sucrose is easily one of the most popular units in Genshin Impact. She has a top-tier Elemental Mastery buff, super helpful Swirl, nice DMG, and a decent crowd control. The fact that she's an accessible 4-star is likely why she's highly favored even up until now.

Review

Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆ (Very easy)

Gameplay Difficulty

The only bad thing about building Sucrose is that she ideally demands triple Elemental Mastery with 4pc Viridescent Venerer. However, she’s completely usable even without any dedicated artifacts.

Flexibility: ★★★★★ (Excellent)

Team Composition Flexibility

Sucrose is an excellent unit to bring to any team comp that relies on Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo. Her Elemental Mastery buff can also come in handy for Dendro units that relies on EM like Tighnari.

Role Flexibility

Sucrose is an all-rounder support. She can grant EM buff, reduce enemy’s RES with Viridescent Venerer (or even Deepwood Memories), and grant massive ATK buff using the Thrilling Tales Catalyst. Other than support, her DMG is also decent, so saving a slot for her won’t be a waste. The only thing Sucrose is missing is a defensive value.

Weekly Boss: ★★★☆☆ (Average)

World Boss: ★★☆☆☆ (Poor)

Most World Bosses can’t easily have their RES reduced using Swirl since they have innate Element, and Sucrose’s crowd control also comes in poorly. Additionally, because of the innate Element, it can disrupt Sucrose’s A1 from buffing the correct character.

Spiral Abyss: ★★★★★ (Excellent)

Even with Kazuha’s existence, Sucrose is still an excellent character to bring to Spiral Abyss. Those who don’t own Venti will find that her crowd control is really useful for grouping.
