The Eremite of Sumeru desert is one of the most hyped characters from the Land of Dendro thanks to her badass design. However, the build up of her personality in the quests doesn't reflect well in gameplay since she desperately needs a rework. The fact that she's also someone players can lose their pity to makes her one of the most avoided pity loss, which says something since the other comparison is Qiqi.
Dehya is simple to use, but her mechanic is unnecessarily complex. For instance, she can provide extreme resistance to interruption, but only for a limited time in a fixed duration. Additionally, her Burst also works with no other Bursts (like Xingqiu’s or Beidou’s), which makes it nearly useless in terms of damage.
With low Normal Attack scaling and a Burst that doesn’t work with many core characters, Dehya can only work as a support. Sadly, her ability as a defender is also immensely shadowed by better units like Zhongli or even the 4-star Kirara and Diona.
