Infamous for his Cryo-infusing field, Chongyun is often left out from players' party due to how his Infusion may be disruptive for many units. Fortunately, he's still a great Burst DPS and can perform well with units that can nullify his Cryo field. For units that can work with Chongyun's field, they can enjoy 8% extra Normal Attack SPD, and 15% cooldown reduction. Additionally, considering Chongyun's Burst has no ICD, he can deal amazing Melt DMG on each of his ultimate, making him a character worth considering.
Playing Chongyun should be easy in Genshin Impact. All players have to do is to cast his Elemental Skill and follow it with his Burst. That should be enough to apply all his DMG and supportive passives.
Based on his role, Chongyun’s build varies between many sets of artifacts and weapons. Playing him as a sub-DPS makes Emblem of Severed Fate and high DMG Claymores viable while as a support, Noblesse and weapons like Favonius or Sacrificial become the better option.
