Xiao

Anemo Polearm

The only remaining Yaksha is not only suffering from Karma in his daily life, but also in his gameplay. In exchange for Xiao's powerful Burst, he slowly loses HP, making it crucial to bring defensive support with him. Unlike his desire to be alone, players will find themselves building a team to support Xiao.

Review

Difficulty: ★★★☆☆ (Average)

Building Difficulty

Xiao’s gameplay itself is rather easy; players simply have to cast his Burst, then keep Plunging. This may be quite a hassle for mobile players, but it should be easily executed by those on console or PC. One bad feature about Xiao is how his Energy works. Since he’s dependent on his Burst to deal DMG, ensuring it’s always available should be players’ top priority. Typically, Energy can be generated by characters when they use Elemental Skill, however, with Xiao, his Skill doesn’t generate Energy when his Burst is active. Because of this, people should learn not to use his Skill in this state.

Building Difficulty

Even though there’s now a dedicated artifact for Xiao, 4pc Vermillion Hereafter, he still performs nicely with mixed sets like 2pc Anemo DMG +15% and 2pc ATK +18%. Because of his flexibility in equipments, it can be said that Xiao isn’t hard to build.

Flexibility: ★★☆☆☆ (Poor)

Team Composition Flexibility

Since Xiao is both dependent on a defensive support and a battery support, players will find themselves quite restricted when picking teammates for Xiao.

Role Flexibility

Xiao is solely a DPS, and a selfish one too, at that.

Weekly Boss: ★★★☆☆ (Average)

Xiao performs better against horde of enemies, so a combination of a beefy solo Weekly Boss, and Xiao’s dependancy on his Burst can prove to make a Weekly Boss fight quite a hassle.

World Boss: ★★★★☆ (Great)

Even though many World Boss may be an issue considering they mostly move around before entering an invincible state, Xiao should be able to finish them in one Burst.

Spiral Abyss: ★★★★☆ (Great)

Considering that most of the Spiral Abyss chambers are filled with groups of enemies, Xiao can be useful in there. He also can still hold his own against single targert enemies since his DMG is good enough.
