Nilou

Hydro Sword

Many think that Nilou is bad considering her limitations to Dendro and Hydro, but those who gave her a chance will know that the DMG potential she offers easily make this restriction sensible. For example, if other Elements can be included in Nilou's Bountiful Bloom team, imagine how players can collect enemies and Bloom with Anemo, effortlessly dealing Bloom DMG to CCed enemies. Fortunately, many soon realize that when it comes to DMG dealing, Nilou's kit is far from lacking. Although many still choose to skip her as her gameplay can be a little monotonous.

Review

Difficulty: ★★★★☆ (Hard)

Gameplay Difficulty

Nilou is fairly easy to play, apart from the two versions of her Elemental Skill. If players press E (Skill) on the third step of her Skill, then she will enter a supportive state where she creates an AoE of Hydro. This field deals no DMG but provide constant Hydro application to enable Bloom. Meanwhile, if players use Normal Attack on the third step, then Nilou will gain Hydro Infusion and can work as a main DPS. It’s best to use Nilou’s supportive Skill and switch to another character for DPS, but her Hydro Infusion can be used in scenarios where no one can be a DPS.

Flexibility: ★☆☆☆☆ (Niche)

Team Composition Flexibility

Nilou is extremely restricted to Dendro and Hydro. Players can also play her for Vaporize, but that’d be a waste of her potential.

Weekly Boss: ★★★★★ (Excellent)

World Boss: ★★★★★ (Excellent)

Spiral Abyss: ★★★★☆ (Great)

Bloom team is somewhat restricted when the enemy is a boss that has a lot of i-frame, but other than that, Nilou’s Bloom team can work perfectly.
