Mona

Hydro Catalyst

Mona has always been known as a broke Astrologist, so it came as a surprise that she actually came from a prosperous family. Like her actual wealth, Mona is also rich in supportive values. Her Elemental Skill provides some Hydro application and a decent taunt, while her Burst is a top-tier support, if players know how it works.

Difficulty: ★★★☆☆ (Average)

Gameplay Difficulty

The star of Mona’s kit is the Omen generated by her Elemental Burst. Upon cast, Mona’s ultimate applies Hydro to opponents in the AoE, along with the Omen status. A constellation-like Illusory Bubble will appear on affected enemies, with smaller enemies being trapped inside it. This bubble will explode if they’re hit by a poise DMG.

Once the bubble explodes, Omen’s 5s countdown will begin, but if players freeze the enemies, the bubble won’t pop and players can keep enjoying the Omen effect. In this case, the bubble will automatically explode after 8s, extending Omen’s duration to up to 13s instead of a mere 5s. This concept is what players can abuse in the Morgana team, where Mona’s Omen and Ganyu’s Cryo mean Ganyu can enjoy massive Charged Attack DMG for the next 13s.

Flexibility: ★★☆☆☆ (Poor)

Team Composition Flexibility

Mona is a great unit to have in any team, but she’s the best Hydro support for the Morgana comp.

Role Flexibility

Mona’s Constellation enhances her role as a main DPS, but she’s typically only used as a support.

Weekly Boss: ★★★☆☆ (Average)

World Boss: ★★★☆☆ (Average)

Spiral Abyss: ★★★☆☆ (Average)

As the core member of the Morgana team, it’s safe to say that Mona is among the best characters players can have in Genshin Impact Spiral Abyss.

But outside Morgana, she’s not as widely used as other Hydro supports like Kokomi or Xingqiu.
