Gameplay Difficulty

Ganyu is among the easiest Genshin Impact characters to use. Players simply have to charge her Aimed Shot and wait until it’s ready to shoot the Frostflake Arrow. As long as players train themselves to know exactly when to shoot the Frostflake Arrow, then Ganyu can be utilized effectively.

Building Difficulty

The Secretary of the Liyue Qixing has a lot of weapon and artifact options. F2P players can do just fine with free options like Hamayumi, Blackcliff Warbow, and Prototype Crescent, which makes Ganyu easy to build.

Team Composition Flexibility

Ganyu is typically used in a Morgana team comp that abuses the Frozen reaction. For this team, there are plenty of Hydro, Cryo, and Anemo options that can be paired with Ganyu. The Qilin is also often paired in a Melt comp. Considering the number of characters and teams that Ganyu can fit in, she ranks high in terms of flexibility.

Role Flexibility

Ganyu is primarily used as a main DPS, but players can also use her as an off-field DPS, support, battery, and Cryo enabler.

Ganyu has a long range and can easily hit weekly bosses, even if they’re mobile. The only weekly boss Ganyu can’t fight is Andrius, as he’s immune to Cryo.

The only reason why Ganyu loses a star for world boss is that she can’t utilize Elemental reactions against some of them. This means players can only rely on her raw DMG, and artifacts like Blizzard Strayer become ineffective.

Ganyu may be released a few months after Genshin Impact’s initial release, but she’s still relevant up until now. Her strong Charged Attack and ease of use still work great in the Spiral Abyss, and she doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
